Health professions: documents from Türkiye
Health files are the heaviest document sets on this site: diploma, full transcript, course descriptions, internship and residency records, a registration certificate and evidence of good standing. Each has a Turkish source, and several are only obtainable in person or under a power of attorney.

Accepted under conditions
Health occupations in Québec are regulated, and the right to practise is granted by the professional order governing the occupation. What follows describes the Turkish documents such a file consumes. It does not describe the admission route itself, which each order publishes for its own profession and which no third party should paraphrase.
Why these files are the heaviest
An order admitting a health professional is deciding whether someone may treat patients. It therefore examines the content of the training rather than the title of the diploma, and it wants a documented, verifiable record of clinical practice. That produces a document set several times larger than an immigration file, most of it from institutions you left years ago. The general shape of order files is on the professional orders page.
The diploma and the transcript
The diploma establishes the qualification; the transcript establishes what was in it. Expect the full transcript covering every year, with the grading legend that is normally printed on the reverse. Where the order asks for the document to arrive sealed or to be sent by the university itself, that changes what you request from the student affairs office — see the sealed transcript page — and it is worth ordering an open copy at the same time so that a translation can be prepared.
Course descriptions and syllabi
This is the item applicants underestimate. Orders comparing training content ask for descriptions of the subjects studied, with hours and content, and for a health programme that can run to a substantial volume of text. It is normally the largest translation cost in the file. Two things reduce it: confirming with the order exactly which years and subjects it wants, and obtaining the descriptions from the faculty in the form the university itself publishes rather than reconstructing them.
Internship, residency and clinical practice records
Documented practice usually comes from the hospital or the institution where it took place, and sometimes from the university that supervised it. What is wanted is a record showing the period, the department, the supervision and the scope of practice — not a reference letter. Records from a hospital that has been reorganised or merged take longer to retrieve, and the request often has to be made in person or under a power of attorney.
Registration and good standing
Expect to produce a certificate from the Turkish body that holds your professional registration, showing that you are or were registered and, in most files, that no disciplinary measure is recorded against you. Where your registration has lapsed, a record of the period during which it was held is generally still obtainable and is frequently what the order actually wants. These documents have a short useful life in the eyes of a receiving body, so obtain them near submission rather than at the start.
Language
Health orders apply a language requirement of their own, in addition to anything an immigration file asked for. It is examined by the order or through a provincial requirement, and it is not satisfied by a test result submitted elsewhere. Treat it as a separate item on your timetable, because it is often the step that determines when the rest of the file can be completed.
Translation and the apostille
These documents are read by a provincial professional body, under the standard on the certified translator page, and they are read closely: every stamp, every hospital seal, every supervisor's signature block and every hour count. Orders also ask for an apostille more often than immigration files do. Because the apostille becomes part of the document and has to appear inside the translation, obtain it first — see the apostille page, which sets out which Turkish authority is competent for a university document and which for a notarial or judicial one.
Sequence, and what it costs to get wrong
Confirm the list with the order, obtain the long-lived documents, obtain the apostille where required, then translate, then submit the short-lived documents last. Translating a full set of syllabi before the order has confirmed its scope is the most expensive mistake available in this file, and it is made regularly. How the items are separated on a quotation is on the costs page.
What we do from Türkiye
Under a power of attorney we attend universities, hospitals and the professional bodies holding your registration; obtain diplomas, transcripts, syllabi, internship records and good-standing certificates; arrange the apostille where the order requires it; and courier the wet-signed set with a complete colour scan of every side. Where a notarial step is needed first, we arrange it, and the exact amount is calculated by the notary office when the document is presented to it. Turnaround estimates for the Turkish side are given in the written quotation rather than as a general figure here.
Frequently asked questions
No. Immigration decides whether you may enter and remain; the professional order decides whether you may practise. People arrive with permanent residence and no right to work in the occupation they trained for, which is why the order's file should start early.
Records normally pass to a successor institution or to the health authority that took it over, and the certificate then comes out under that body's name. It is a slower request than a routine one, so raise it first rather than last.
Ask the order to confirm the scope in writing first. Applicants regularly translate the descriptions for an entire programme when a defined subset was wanted, and it is the largest avoidable expense in a health file.
Only with a power of attorney, and universities and hospitals generally apply that rule strictly to academic and clinical records. A power of attorney drawn up at a Turkish consulate is directly usable in Türkiye and avoids a separate authentication step.
