Turkish documents for CSQ, Arrima, IRCC and professional orders: who must do the translation, and on what conditions a translation made in Türkiye is accepted.

Civil status

  • Apostille for Canadian documents Canada

Canada joined the apostille system on 11 January 2024. Before that, a longer legalisation chain applied — which is why so much advice still circulating online is out of date. Türkiye cannot apostille a Canadian document.

  • Multilingual civil status extracts Canada

Some Turkish civil status records can be issued on standardised multilingual forms. Where the receiving body accepts them, the translation step disappears entirely — and where it does not, ordering one wastes a cycle.

  • Obtaining Turkish documents from abroad Canada

This is where we are most useful. With a power of attorney, we request records, present them to the right authority for the apostille, translate, and courier — so that you do not have to fly to Ankara for a counter visit.

  • Power of attorney from Canada Canada

Drawn up at a Turkish consulate, it is written in Turkish and used directly in Türkiye — no apostille, no translation. Drawn up before a Canadian notary, the same document needs both. The results are equivalent; the routes are not.

  • Using Canadian documents in Türkiye Canada

This is the direction where we do the translation. Apostille in Canada, courier, then a translation here by someone who has sworn an oath before a Turkish notary office — which is exactly what Turkish offices expect.

Diploma equivalence and recognition

  • Canadian diploma recognition in Türkiye Canada

To study further, sit a public examination or practise a regulated profession in Türkiye, a Canadian degree needs a recognition decision. The apostille comes from Canada; the translation and the certification chain happen here.

  • Comparative evaluation of studies Québec

The province's comparative evaluation says what your Turkish studies broadly correspond to in the Québec system. It is an opinion, not a recognition, and it does not give the right to practise a regulated occupation. This page covers the documents, the dispatch rules and the form-version trap.

  • Grades are transferred, not converted Québec

A translator reproduces your marks exactly as the transcript shows them, together with the scale printed on it. Converting a Turkish average into a Canadian one is the evaluating body's decision, not the translator's, and a converted transcript is a common reason for a file to be sent back.

  • How to obtain a sealed transcript in Türkiye Québec

Some Canadian and Québec bodies accept a transcript only if it has not passed through your hands: sealed by the university, or posted by it directly. This page sets out what to ask a Turkish university for, in what wording, and how to keep a translatable copy at the same time.

  • How Turkish universities must send documents Canada

Several assessment bodies require academic records to arrive directly from the issuing institution, in a sealed envelope or through a secure channel. A copy you carried yourself is refused — regardless of how genuine it is.

  • Institution names are not translated Québec

The name of a Turkish university, court or registry office is an identifier, and identifiers are kept. A translation keeps the original name and adds an explanation in brackets where one helps. Replacing it with an assumed Canadian equivalent makes the document impossible to verify.

  • Translation requirements for credential assessment Canada

Word-for-word rendering, a signed translator declaration, and stamps translated rather than skipped. Grades are never converted: interpreting them is the assessing body’s job, not the translator’s.

  • Using an outdated form gets your file returned Québec

Application forms carry a version, and a file submitted on a superseded one is returned without being examined. The cost is not the form: it is the weeks that passed, and the documents that aged while the file sat in a queue it never entered.

Family reunification

  • Family sponsorship: Turkish documents Canada

The file turns on proving a relationship, not on volume. Detailed civil status records do most of the work; relationship evidence supports them. Multilingual extracts sometimes remove the translation step entirely.

Permanent immigration

  • Are Turkish e-government printouts accepted? Québec

A printout from the Turkish e-government portal carries a verification code that only works inside the Turkish system. It is often enough for an electronic application, but not for an apostille, and rarely for a professional order or a court. Decide which you need before printing anything.

  • Canada file checklist Canada

Federal files are largely digital, which shifts the risk from paper handling to scan quality and translator declarations. Two different things get checked here compared with a Québec file.

  • Do you need an apostille for Québec? Québec

An apostille authenticates the signature and seal of the official who issued or certified a Turkish document. Immigration files often do not ask for one; courts and professional orders do. Because the apostille is itself translated, the decision has to be taken before translation.

  • Documents for the Arrima portal Québec

The portal asks for information first and documents later, and the gap between those two moments is where money is lost. Translating a full document set at the profile stage is the single most avoidable expense in a Québec file.

  • Educational credential assessment explained Canada

An assessment compares your Turkish degree to a Canadian one so that it can be scored. It is not a licence to work, not a diploma, and not the same thing as Québec’s own comparative evaluation — a distinction that costs applicants months.

  • Express Entry: which documents when Canada

Two stages, two document sets. Translating everything at profile stage is the most common way applicants spend money months before it is needed — and sometimes on documents that expire before they are used.

  • Federal document and translation rules Canada

Any document that is not in English or French must be submitted with a translation and a statement from the translator. What that statement must contain, and who may sign it, is the point most Turkish applicants get wrong.

  • Five most common translation mistakes Québec

Five errors account for most of the translations sent back by Québec and Canadian authorities: converted grades, translated institution names, dropped seals, drifting name spellings and missing pages. None of them is a language error, and all five are avoidable before the work starts.

  • French or English: which translation do you need? Québec

Provincial files are handled in French; the federal stage accepts French or English. Translating into both doubles the cost and is rarely necessary. The question to settle first is which authority reads the document, and whether a later stage will read it again.

  • Getting a written quotation Canada

Three pieces of information make a useful answer possible: which document, which receiving authority, and whether there is a deadline. You get an itemised written reply, at no charge and with no commitment.

  • How costs are structured Canada

A quotation separates our work from third-party items, because the second group is not ours and we do not set it. The notary amount is never quoted in advance: it is calculated when the document is presented.

  • How long does the Turkish side take? Canada

Translation is almost always the shortest step. What takes time is obtaining the record, the apostille queue and the courier — three links that no one, including us, can accelerate.

  • How Québec immigration works Québec

Québec selects its own economic immigrants, and the federal government then decides on admission and status. Two administrations read the same Turkish documents under different instructions, and the translation rule is one of the things that changes between them.

  • How to scan your documents Canada

In a digital file, an unreadable scan is treated as a defective document. Most rejections of this kind come from four avoidable faults: cropped edges, angle, low contrast on stamps, and compression that destroys small print.

  • How your documents are handled Canada

Immigration files contain medical reports, criminal record extracts and court decisions. Our absolute internal rule: no client document is ever uploaded to a free machine translation or online assistant service.

  • How your translated file must be arranged Québec

Each translation belongs immediately behind the document it translates, one document per file, named so that the officer knows what it is before opening it. Arrangement is not presentation: a correct set of documents in the wrong order is read as an incomplete file.

  • Is a translation made in Türkiye accepted in Québec? Québec

For most provincial files the honest answer is no, and hearing it early is cheaper than hearing it from a reviewing officer. This page sets out where the answer changes, what happens if you submit one anyway, and which part of the work we can genuinely carry from Türkiye.

  • Is Turkish notarisation enough for Québec? Québec

A Turkish notary certifies that a named person signed, or that a copy matches an original. It does not certify that a translation is faithful, and it confers no standing in a Québec professional register. Notarisation still matters — for powers of attorney, certified copies and the apostille step.

  • Name spelling: the passport is the reference Québec

Turkish letters are transcribed differently across documents issued in different decades, and a marriage or a court decision can change a surname mid-file. The passport spelling governs; where an older document differs, the answer is a document explaining the difference, never a quiet correction.

  • Original, certified copy or photocopy? Québec

Electronic applications take scans, but later stages ask for originals or certified copies, and the two are not the same thing. For most Turkish registry documents a freshly issued original is easier to obtain than a certified copy — and unlike a copy, it restarts the document's useful life.

  • Permanent residence: Turkish document list Canada

Identity, civil status, education, work experience, funds and police records. The list is stable; what varies is the version of each document, its freshness window, and the order in which you should obtain them.

  • Proving Turkish work experience Québec

Two documents do most of the work: a letter from the employer describing what you actually did, and the social security service record showing registered employment periods independently of the employer. Together they answer the question a reviewing officer is really asking.

  • Québec file checklist Québec

Québec runs its own selection stage with its own rules, and the one that matters most for translation is that it frequently requires a translator belonging to its professional order. Check that before anything else in your file.

  • Québec rules vs federal rules Québec

The same applicant can pass through two authorities with two different translation standards. The province expects a translator registered with its own professional order; the federal stage generally works with a translator's signed declaration. Reading the wrong rule means translating twice.

  • Québec translation rules for Turkish documents Québec

Québec expects a translation produced by a translator registered with its own professional order, so a translation certified in Türkiye is usually not accepted for a provincial file. Federal Canada applies a different rule. Knowing which one governs your file prevents paying twice.

  • Seals and certification marks must be translated too Québec

A translation that renders the text but leaves the stamps, notarial notes and apostille untouched is treated as an incomplete document. Everything on the page is part of the document, including the parts that are not sentences — and including the reverse side people forget to scan.

  • The Québec selection certificate explained Québec

The provincial certificate says that Québec has selected you. It is not a visa, not permanent residence and not permission to work or travel. This page sets out what it does, which Turkish documents sit behind it, and what its validity period means for the rest of your file.

  • Turkish civil status documents Québec

Birth records, marriage records and the population registry extract come from the same Turkish registry but prove different things. The multilingual version exists, but Canada is outside the arrangement behind it, so acceptance has to be confirmed in writing rather than assumed.

  • Turkish criminal record certificate Québec

Ask for the version that shows archived records, obtain it near the end of your file rather than at the start, and settle the apostille question before anyone translates it. Judicial documents are apostilled at the courthouse, not at the governorship.

  • What happens if your translation is rejected? Québec

In most cases the file is not refused; it is placed on hold and a request for a compliant translation is issued, with a deadline. The costs are a processing cycle, a second translation, and sometimes documents that expire while you wait. Knowing the sequence makes it manageable.

  • What we do — and what we do not Canada

A translation office in Ankara, operating since 2008. We obtain, translate and certify Turkish documents. We are not immigration consultants, not lawyers, and not a government body — and the acceptance rule is set by the office that receives your file.

  • When to obtain each document Québec

Plan backwards from the submission date. Documents that never age are obtained first because they take longest to retrieve; documents with a short useful life are obtained last, because obtaining them early means obtaining them twice — and translating them twice.

  • When your documents expire mid-application Canada

Immigration files run for months; several Turkish documents do not. Knowing which ones age, and whether a fresh document also means a fresh translation, is what keeps a long file from restarting.

  • Where should you have it translated? Canada

A decision table by file type. Some rows are governed by the receiving body’s own register, others are accepted with a sworn translation prepared in Türkiye — the table shows which is which, and what to ask before ordering anything.

  • Who is a certified translator in Québec? Québec

In Québec the term describes a registration, not a level of skill: a translator admitted to the province's professional order, entitled to use a reserved title and a seal. This page explains what the seal carries, how to verify a registration, and what a certified translator will not do for you.

Professional order registration

  • Health professions: documents from Türkiye Québec

Health files are the heaviest document sets on this site: diploma, full transcript, course descriptions, internship and residency records, a registration certificate and evidence of good standing. Each has a Turkish source, and several are only obtainable in person or under a power of attorney.

  • Québec professional orders Québec

In a regulated occupation the right to practise is granted by a professional order, not by an immigration officer. The order runs its own file, applies its own document rules and is generally the strictest reader your Turkish documents will meet.

Student application

  • CAQ (student) document list Québec

Studying in Québec means two applications: the provincial acceptance document first, the federal study permit second. This page sets out the Turkish documents behind the provincial one — acceptance letter, financial capacity, civil status — and what changes when the student is a minor.

  • Financial capacity documents Québec

A bank letter, statements, and sometimes property or income documents. The rule that catches people out is the same one as for grades: figures are reproduced exactly as printed, in the original currency, and are never converted by the translator.

  • Study permit: Turkish documents Canada

Acceptance letter, proof of funds and education history — plus, for Québec, a provincial acceptance certificate that must come before the federal permit. Missing that order is the usual cause of a lost intake.

Work permit

  • Work permit: Turkish documents Canada

A job offer drives the file, but the Turkish side is about proving what you actually did: duties, dates and hours. For regulated professions, a separate recognition process runs alongside and takes far longer.
