What we do — and what we do not

This page exists because confusion about scope costs applicants time. A translation office is not an administration and not a legal adviser, and saying so plainly prevents expectations that end badly.

What we do

• Obtain Turkish documents. Civil status records, academic records, court copies, company and land registry documents — on a written mandate, from the offices that hold them.
• Translate. Between Turkish, English and French, for the official uses described on this site.
• Run the Turkish certification chain. Notary certification and the endorsements the receiving office requires, in the correct order and at the correct counter.
• Ship. Tracked, to the address you give, with everything photographed beforehand.

What we do not do

• Immigration advice. We do not assess eligibility, choose programmes, complete forms or estimate your chances. That is a regulated activity in Canada and we are not part of it.
• Legal work. Recognition of a judgment, inheritance, litigation: we prepare documents, a lawyer conducts the procedure.
• Certify anything ourselves. Certification belongs to a notary office and endorsements to public authorities. Our role is to bring the file to the right counter in the right order.
• Promise outcomes. The receiving authority decides whether to accept a document. No one else can commit to that.

The condition we raise first

Some systems ask for a translation from someone on their own register — the Québec professional order, certain assessment bodies. Practice is not uniform, and many files are accepted with a sworn translation prepared in Türkiye alongside the correct certification chain. Who we are

An office in Ankara, in the Kızılay district, working since 2008, within walking distance of the civil registry, the governorate, the courthouse and the notary offices where these steps happen. That proximity is why we do counter work ourselves rather than subcontracting it.

Working with your other advisers

We work alongside lawyers and licensed consultants without difficulty, and we prefer it: they handle the procedure, we handle the paper. If you have one, tell us — it usually shortens the exchange.

What we will tell you for free

When you do not need us. If a document is already issued in English, if a multilingual extract removes the translation, or if the certification you were about to order is not required — we say so. See multilingual civil status extracts.

Ankara hours and time zones

We answer during office hours in Türkiye, which are several hours ahead of Canada. A message sent at the end of your working day is typically answered while you sleep, so a first exchange that feels slow is usually one overnight cycle rather than a delay. For anything with a deadline, say so in the first message: it changes how we sequence the work rather than how fast we reply.
